Playtime for You All

I realize that not only does each and every one of you need the basics out of life, but also must have some time for playing.  I was hoping that maybe all of us together might be able to come up with some very fun game ideas that we can enjoy.  There are some of the obvious ones, like patty cake, old Macdonald, and itsy bitsy spider that are always classics.  Now, we need something new and fresh so that I can continue to put a smile on your precious faces.  You all know how much I love coddling you.  As you can tell by this week’s picture, I am deep in thought making a list of my own.  I do have a couple of wonderful ideas, but I’m going to need all of your brain power as well.  Whenever you think of something, I want you to go ahead and share it as a comment.  Please, don’t feel shy or nervous because we are all a very big happy family.  As always, kisses and love from me to you. One Inch Tall

If you were only one inch tall, you’d ride a worm to school. The teardrop of a crying ant would be your swimming pool. A crumb of cake would be a feast And last you seven days at least, A flea would be a frightening beast If you were one inch tall. If you were only one inch tall, you’d walk beneath the door, And it would take about a month to get down to the store. A bit of fluff would be your bed, You’d swing upon a spider’s thread, And wear a thimble on your head If you were one inch tall. You’d surf across the kitchen sink upon a stick of gum. You couldn’t hug your mama, you’d just have to hug her thumb. You’d run from people’s feet in fright, To move a pen would take all night, (This poem took fourteen years to write– ‘Cause I’m just one inch tall). by Shel Silverstein Silvie Enjoy the shrinking fantasy would so enjoy doing that to you

I Feel Special

I just wanted to take a moment and let you all know how very special you make me feel.  Many of you let me know each and every day that you are my special ones and I can’t even begin to tell you how much this means to me.  I feel like you coddle me the way that I do you.  I find myself thinking about you all very often, and I hope each and every one of you do the same for me.  Just look at the smile on my face in this picture.  As always, kisses and love from me to you. Show and Tell

Nanny loves taking care of Adult Babies. Once in awhile I am called in to watch over older boys and girls who are getting to that age where they ask a lot of questions. Curiosity is encouraged and rewarded on my watch. When little ones have questions, I think they should be answered and the best way to learn is by having fun. I have so much fun when my boys start getting curious about the excited feelings they are getting. A game of show and tell can answer all your questions, sweetheart, even the ones you didn’t know you had. So come over here and help Nanny unbutton her blouse with those little fingers. The End of Summer

Sweet smell of phlox drifting across the lawn— an early warning of the end of summer. August is fading fast, and by September the little purple flowers will all be gone. Season, project, and vacation done. One more year in everybody’s life. Add a notch to the old hunting knife Time keeps testing with a horny thumb. Over the summer months hung an unspoken aura of urgency. In late July galactic pulsings filled the midnight sky like silent screaming, so that, strangely woken, we looked at one another in the dark, then at the milky magical debris arcing across, dwarfing our meek mortality. There were two ways to live: get on with work, redeem the time, ignore the imminence of cataclysm; or else take it slow, be as tranquil as the neighbors’ cow we love to tickle through the barbed wire fence (she paces through her days in massive innocence, or, seeing green pastures, we imagine so). In fact, not being cows, we have no choice. Summer or winter, country, city, we are prisoners from the start and automatically, hemmed in, harangued by the one clamorous voice. Not light but language shocks us out of sleep ideas of doom transformed to meteors we translate back to portents of the wars looming above the nervous watch we keep. Checking on my sweets…

My sweets, I just couldn’t keep from worrying about each and every one of you during this terrible hurricane.  I wanted to take a moment and make sure that none of you were hurt or frightened from the storm raging outside?  I know how very terrifying it can be and if any of you need a little bit of coddling, don’t hesitate to let me know.  Remember, each and every one of you are very special to me and there is absolutely nothing I want more than to make your lives better and happy. In fact, I have a wonderful idea, just to be certain all of you are doing just fine, how about placing a little comment?  It doesn’t need to be anything insightful.  Just a little note to let me know that you made it through the storm and are doing just fine.  After all, you’re all super special.  As usual, kisses and love from me to you. Nap Time

I always like to have a ritual when it comes to nap time.  A fresh diaper is always first, as I softly talk to you.  Next we gather your favorite stuffed animal, you blankie, and a fresh baba.  Then I gently put you in your crib and pull out Goodnight Moon to read to you.  And if you are a good aby, I will gently pat your thickly padded tushie until you drift off to dreamland.  See, nap time isn’t a bad time after all, is it?   Your AB Mommy Maggie 1-888-430-2010

The Start of a New Home-School Year

It’s almost the end of August and my older little toddlers know exactly what that means, SCHOOL!  That’s right, another year of drudgery is about to begin, but I have a surprise for you.  Instead of being plastered in some stuffy, overcrowded, uncaring classroom, my little ones are going to be taught right here at home.  I can hear your little disposable diapers crinkling with joy as you rock back and forth in excitement.  No longer will you be forced to stare at some aged bag of bones, trying to teach you your ABC’s.  Rather than that, you’re going to have a vivacious, alluring, not to mention nurturing teacher.  Can any of you possibly guess who I might possibly be talking about? Undoubtedly, my smart little ones all knew that I was talking about myself.  Just imagine, I can be coddling you as I’m teaching you arithmetic.  Not to mention that recess can be used for playing with toys, or if you’re especially good, me!  Honestly, doesn’t that sound so much better than being surrounded by a group of needy, whiny, self centered school officials?  Each and every week I am going to come up with a new lesson and if you do an especially good job, there might be a little bit of breastfeeding as a reward. Now remember, school starts next week so I want all of you to start going to bed a little bit earlier so that each and every day you can give me your all, in more ways than one.  As always, kisses and love from me to you.
